Yesterday, we attended the opening of GODIVA’s new store at Dubai Mall! 🎉
I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the entire team for their outstanding work! Everyone was smiling, which strengthened my belief that even greater successes lie ahead.
I reminded my friends of the words of Pierre Draps, GODIVA’s second-generation chocolatier: “I was born in chocolate… It has seduced me, and I have dedicated myself all my life to this art. I have lived a wonderful dream.” Just think how lucky we are to still be in the chocolate business—creating it, sharing it, and enjoying every moment.
I fondly remember meeting Pierre Draps by Lake Como, just a few months before he passed away, when we made GODIVA’s traditional truffles together using his cherished recipe. Today, this rich tradition is carried on by our talented chocolatier, Chef IIyse Wilmots. At the opening, Chef IIyse treated us to a spectacular live demonstration: dark chocolate truffles filled with a generous pistachio-kataifi center, coated in milk chocolate, sprinkled with speculoos crumbs, and topped with a gold leaf. Each layer was not just a delicious chocolate but a true masterpiece.
I congratulate everyone at GODIVA for skillfully blending our rich traditions with modern trends. Here’s to many more innovations and unforgettable chocolate experiences! 🍫✨ #makehappybehappy
